Jason's Climb in Racing

Jason got his first taste of racing competition as a
teenager when he and his brother Eddie bought 2 go-karts and
began racing them at a dirt track close to his home. Jason's
father (John) and mother (Dale) will never forget the first
time they ventured out to the go-kart track after Jason and
Eddie had been racing for many weeks. John and Dale were
expecting to see Jason and Eddie just out having a good time
and racing like kids do at the beach pavilion go-kart
tracks, but what they discovered was nothing close to that.
Jason was in serious competition with not kids but adults,
and was running at speeds of up to 75 mph. John and Dale
were both in shock. Dale was very concerned for their
safety and John was excited and ready to become involved.
Both actually became involved at that point and after Jason
had experienced numerous go-kart wins at that track, 311
Speedway and various other tracks, they purchased a super
stock car for Jason and Eddie to race at Ace Speedway in
Altamaha, NC. The first practice at Ace revealed that Jason
was going to be the driver, Eddie was going to be a mechanic
and tire specialist, John would be the crew chief, and Dale
would be the timer/record keeper. Jason raced one year at
Ace in the Super Stock Division and had a very successful
one in finishing 2nd in the division, receiving the Most
Wins Award with 6, and receiving the Rookie of the Year
Award. This successful year led to Jason moving up to the
NASCAR Late Model Stock Car (LMSC) division. This step up
was a very expensive one though and a struggle at times to
financially be able to race. However, Jason was able to
obtain the Rookie of The Year Award in his first year in
this division and has had many accomplishments there-after,
including 3 NASCAR LMSC Track Championships, 1 UARA
Championship, and qualifying 2nd and finishing 4th in his
first and only race at Daytona International Speedway in the
IPOWER Dash Series. Jason has raced in several USAR Pro Cup
races in which he raced like a veteran of the series. Jason
has won the most prestigious LMSC race in the country at
Martinsville Speedway called the Bailey's 300. In addition,
Jason has been successful in his only two starts in the
NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with an average start of 28th
and an average finish of 18th in a rented regular series
driver's back-up truck. Jason has the experience to race in
the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, Nationwide Series and even the
Sprint Cup Series. The only thing he needs is the money.
